If you haven't made it up to white-hot Harlem restaurant Red Rooster yet, and you have thousands and thousands of dollars lying around, listen up: Politico reports that later this month, President Obama will hold a DNC fundraising "thank you" reception at the Lenox Ave eatery. The price is $30,800 a head, but it will be an intimate affair with only six tables, and presumably some great opportunities to meet and greet with both President Obama and Marcus Samuelsson. The funds from the event will go towards the Democratic National Committee.
As you may recall, Samuelsson was the chef at the Obamas' very first State Dinner in 2009, way before he even won Season 2 of Top Chef: Masters. As far as we know, this will be the first time that The President has ever dined at the restaurant, although he has also hit up other hot places like Il Mulino, Blue Hill and, um, Craftsteak, so we're sure he's going to love Samuelsson's take on American comfort food — all the critics are going nuts for it these days.
