With the runaway success of tiny Nolita restaurant Torrisi Italian Specialties over the past year, it was really only a matter of time before the words "expansion" came into play. So we're happy to hear the news today, per the Robs, that rising culinary world stars Rich Torrisi and Mario Carbone are opening up a new sandwich shop. Called Parm, it will be located on 248 Mulberry right next to their original restaurant.
Parm "will basically be a bigger, better, more efficient expansion upon the daytime incarnation of T.I.S," where turkey sandwiches and chicken parms are practically cult classics. No word yet on when it will open or what this will mean for the lunchtime program at the original Torrisi.
