1) Prospect Heights: Park Slope Patch reports that the very new Korean fusion outfit the Kimchi Taco Truck is opening a brick and mortar outpost near the Grand Army Plaza in Downtown Brooklyn. Called Kimchi Grill, the restaurant will serve all kinds of staples—including noodles and arancini—with kimchi. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
2) West Village: A tipster reports that Think Coffee is opening its fifth location at 73 8th Avenue. [PLYWOOD]
3) Lower East Side: Bowery Boogie catches a glimpse at the facade of Souvlaki GR the Lower East Side brick and mortar sister to the Greek food truck of the same name. [PLYWOOD]
4) Williamsburg: A new wine store called Vine Wine will open this spring in the former Brooklyn Kitchen space on Lorimer Street at Skillman. One of the investors is Taylor Erkkinen, an owner of the Brooklyn Kitchen. Vine Wine is originally from Long Island City and like its original store there, this will focus on small production old-world, organic, biodynamic and natural wines. They'll also run an education program with classes, tastings, and visiting winemaker series. [PLYWOOD]
5) Park Slope: Here's Park Slope grabs a plywood pic of 67 Burger, the burger joint that is expanding from Fort Greene to Park Slope soon. They write, "It'll be a low-key place, where you order at the counter and then a server brings your food to you as it's ready. The menu looks fairly straightforward, with your usual assortment of grilled burgers, chicken sandwiches, some interesting toppings, and salads. There's also a beer milkshake, which sounds intriguing." [PLYWOOD]
