Ludo Lefebvre, the LA-based French chef who has made food world headlines over the past year for his series of pop-up restaurants called LudoBites announced today that he and his partner and wife are launching a television series with the Sundance Channel called Ludo Bites America. In every episode the pair will have six days to open up a pop-up in an existing restaurant that doesn't serve dinner—bakeries, sandwich shops etc.
More interesting to New Yorkers is the news that he's considering a version of LudoBites—not part of the show—for New York. Lefebvre tells Eater we should expect it sometime this fall. At this point, he's done six iterations of his pop-up in Los Angeles.
