When we chatted with Noah Bernamoff of hit Boerum Hill deli Mile End a few weeks ago, he hinted that a Manhattan expansion might in the works. Today, he tells the Carroll Gardens Patch that he's hoping to open a second location this summer, and that they're looking to set up shop "somewhere that’s as busy at midnight as it is at noon."
Bernamoff also says that his team is working on developing products for wholesale that would carry the Mile End name. Right now, they're experimenting with a veal sausage that he says they'd like to sell to Whole Foods. Although it sounds like things are in the early planning stage, the move makes sense considering that the restaurant now operates an off-site warehouse, which they originally opened to produce enough of their signature smoked meat to keep up with insane demand.
