298 Bedford Ave., Williamsburg
Status: Soft open to the public.
Tonight new oyster bar and cocktail den Maison Premiere debuts its horseshoe shaped bar, absinthe tower, and old timey New Orleans-themed vibe to the people of Williamsburg, and beyond. The new space, brought to us by Josh Boissy, the founding chef at Williamsburg French bistro Le Barricou and the design team behind Moto and Smith and Mills, will open today at 4 PM and will be serving its menu of 13 oysters for $1 until 7 PM. After that, it's back to the regular menu (below). By the weekend, the menu will grow to include 20 varieties.
As for the cocktail list, it's the purview of Maxwell Britten, a recent alum of Freemans and Jack the Horse Tavern. The soft opening list offers about five concoctions, all in the $10 range, along with the absinthe drip.
