The Five Best Comments on Eater This Week

Welcome to Saturday Night Five, where we shine a light on the best quips, barbs, burns, and nuggets of truth from Eater NY commenters. Here's this week's cream of the crop:

5) After reading our first report on The Trilby, ChiefHDB remarks:

If there's one thing I go to a restaurant for, it's new and interesting furniture.
4) Newyorkfooddude has another take on The Trilby, and its menacing mascot:
Uh-oh. The scary dude's wearing a bowler, not a trilby, and the Fedora people are saying "Nice one, guys. It was cool for us to get on the Mad Men wagon and revive this old girl, but you're reaching a little, no?"

3) Laughlynne, on the "Laundry Essentials" class at FCI:

There's a French Laundry joke in here somewhere, but I don't have the energy to find it.
2) An anonymous commenter weighs in on the mystery surrounding Miss Lily's:
They will be far from putting paper on the windows, Miss Lily's isn't going anywhere but up. They just don't want Eater there. Go write about some gossip concerning some silly bottle service club- you're not relevent anymore.
1) After taking a look at the dining room for Sam Talbot's latest, Sweetbreads notes:
those chairs look very uncomfortable.
They do, Sweetbreads, they really do. Congratulations to the inaugural Saturday Night Five! Next round's on us.
