As is often expected, waiters omit specials prices, push items the kitchen needs to sell off, overpour wine to sell another bottle, recommend the most expensive dishes, and make up descriptions of wines. Says one, "We get a shift meal of pasta and salad or tacos. So when I say that the lobster is so delicious because it has a subtle taste of the smoke from the wood in the oven, I am blowing said smoke up your a - - ." [NYP]
