Sometime next month (the target is March 15), a group of Prime Meats, Death & Co, and Cafe Boulud alums will open Rucola, a small Northern Italian restaurant on the corner of Dean and Bond Streets in Boerum Hill. Owned/managed by former Prime Meats bartender Julian Brizzi and partner Henry Rich, the restaurant will be open from morning until late night and will focus on salads, pastas, and vegetarian dishes. They're also planning a bag lunch program for local children, a rooftop herb garden, a farm in the Hudson Valley, and a CSA-style farm share. So Brooklyn!
As for the look, expect "weathered wood, soft lighting, distressed benches, and a worn marble bartop." Also expect a killer bar program. A shot of the space in its current plywood space is below.
