Eater tipsters reveal today and restaurant reps confirm that Michael Ayoub the founder of pizzeria Fornino has left the nine month-old Park Slope location for good. Reps at both locations won't say why he left his own business so shortly after its debut, but they confirm that he is still involved in the original Williamsburg location at 187 Bedford Avenue.
Fornino Park Slope will remain Fornino Park Slope with a new partner, David J. Kearns. According to a spokesperson at the restaurant, Kearns bought Ayoub's shares for the Park Slope location, and the split was amicable. The chefs at this location are Pascal Condomine, who has been Chef de Cuisine since the opening over the summer and Kurt Eggers, a new addition to the team.
