Bobo Team Finalizes Lease for 18 Greenwich, Plans Roof Farm

New, 5 comments

The saga of 18 Greenwich St. is entering its final stages! The space, which housed paper goods store Village Paper until it burned down last February, was a highly sought after space last year, with gay bar Pieces, West Village restaurant Bobo, and the one and only Sir Keith McNally competing for the lease and liquor license approval. Now, reps from Bobo tell Eater that they've finalized a lease, and they have indeed taken the space—not a huge surprise given Community Board 2 approved them for a liquor license in November. The stand alone space will be a "neighborhood restaurant" with beer and wine and a working rooftop farm. They're hoping to open in nine months.
