One nice thing about having a temporary, ever changing restaurant concept—you can get good and silly for holidays like Valentine's Day. Thus, the team at John Fraser's new Soho concept What Happens When has been working since 11 PM last night cutting and hanging the silk triangles on the ceiling, putting cardboard hearts around the lights, and conceiving of other cute, Black Monday themed bonuses (think, a Ring Pop and a love story as a parting gift, a menu in the form of a cootie catcher).
Want in? The restaurant is pretty booked, but WHW has some early and late resys open (212-925-8310). And they're offering a free 5:30 PM two top to a select Eater reader. That means four courses ($92 value) along with that Ring Pop, all gratis. To win, send your worst Valentine's Day dining out horror story by 4 PM to firstname.lastname@example.org. Winner chosen by 4:30 PM.
