Donald Trump tells Steve Cuozzo that if the city does allow him to take over the former Tavern on the Green space to operate as a restaurant—he's made a deal with the powerful union but not yet with Bloomberg or the Parks Dept.—he'll need to rebuild the recently demolished Crystal Room, which held the majority of the money-making seats. Preservationists, many of whom celebrated the room's demolition, may not be pleased, but he promises that his version won't be as ugly from the outside as Warner LeRoys. [NYP]
