Nello, Lucali, Asia Dog, Currywurst Bros. to Face CB2

Community Board 2's SLA Licensing agenda for February is out, and it's so long they're taking two days to see all of the applicants. As usual there are a few newsworthy inclusions. Intriguing but not so newsworthy: August Cardona, owner of Dell'Anima, L'Artusi, and Anfora is on here for 352 Bowery, but he tells Eater it's a false alarm and they will not be on the docket.

Nello Balan, who is sure to face opposition in the form of the bellicose Soho Alliance, is on there for his proposed expansion to Greene Street, as is Lucali, the famed Brooklyn pizzeria that is hoping to expand to Nolita. Custom American Wine Bar, a Williamsburg beer and wine spot from an owner of Bar Carrera looks like it could be expanding to 106 Greenwich Ave., and Toby's Public House, a neighborhood hit out in Windsor Terrace, looks to be applying for a space at 86 Kenmare, last the home of Village Tart.

On the lower end of things, Currywurst Bros., a new outfit specializing in Berlin's specialty is opening soon at 182 Bleecker Street and is seeking a beer and wine license. And Asia Dog, the former pop-up hot dog spot, is now seeking out more permanent digs at 66 Kenmare.

An operation called Nolita Tavern is looking to take the now shuttered Elizabeth space at 265 Elizabeth St, and something called English Road is looking into opening at 264 Bowery, just south of Houston.
