The High Line Seeks New Food Vendors for 2012

Once again everyone's favorite suspended city park is looking for new food vendors. The Friends of the High Line are releasing a new request for proposals today for three concessions on the upper level of the Chelsea Market Passage (between 15th and 16th) and are for the first time ever looking for someone to sell food and beverages (including alcohol) at The Porch, the seasonal venue with seating for 50 on the lower level of the Passage.

According to the RFP, pasted in below and available on the High Line site later today, they're looking for vendors that can offer unique, flexible, democratic, and sustainable menus with concepts that "demonstrate a strong aesthetic compatibility with the High Line." The upper level vendors will be allowed to operate for the 2012 season with two one year renewal options, and the Porch vendor will operate during the 2012 and 2013 seasons with an option to renew for 2014.

Check out the requirements below and get those applications together. They're due February 1.
