Morton's Acquired

Mortons-interior-sm.jpgIf you never thought a good steak and Bubba Gump could live together, think again. Landry's Inc., which owns chains Bubba Gump Shrimp and McCormick and Schmick's, just announced it would acquire the Morton's Restaurant Group for $117 million and take the company private. Landry's CEO Tilman Fertitta said he would modernize the Morton's Steakhouses and add new items to the traditional menu. [Crain's via Eater Chicago]
