CB3 Drops The Hammer On Ludlow Manor Team

Just weeks after opening, the Ludlow Manor team was back in front of the Community Board 3 licensing committee. Why? Because it turns out they decided to open despite only having a liquor license for the ground floor restaurant that is still not serving food, and chose to host "private parties" on the unlicensed upper floors using a temporary catering license. The group had to go back to CB3 and plead for a permanent license and, not surprisingly, the board was not happy, telling Georgie Seville, nightlife genius Luc "Sexy Hair" Carl, and their attorney that they "can’t approve you because you are already operating against the law.”

They were also annoyed that Carl had not appeared before the board as an owner of the club and that they had to read about his involvement in the papers. The owners denied that Carl was an owner, simply calling him a lowly manager. How unsexy. Ludlow Manor now has to hope that the SLA will approve their license despite the community board rejection and these shenanigans. Based on recent history, they probably have a good shot.
