Loreley Holiday Market, Craftacular, Beer Fest, and More

Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are five choice dining events going on around the city:

2011_christmas_market1.jpg1) Loreley Christmas Market
Where: 64 Frost St
When: Saturday and Sunday, noon - 5 PM
What: This popular Williamsburg beer garden is hosting a Christmas market with food vendors like Kumquat Cupcakery, Spoonable sauces, Cheshire Canning, and DP Chutneys, plus clothing, jewelry, and craft vendors. Loreley will be serving mulled wine and hot drinks so you can sip while you shop.

2011_all_you_can_drink_beer1.jpg2) Get Real NY Beer Bar Fest
Where: 404 10th Ave
When: Saturday, 1 - 10 PM
What: A huge all-you-can-drink beer bash with pub grub. Participating bars/restaurants include: Alewife, Cafe D'Alsace, Taproom, Sunswick 35/35, and Bronx Alehouse. There are two sessions: one from 1 - 4 PM, the other from 6- 10 PM. General admission tickets are $35.

2011_bust_craftacular_food_fair1.jpg3) Bust Magazine Craftacular and Food Fair
Where: 82 Mercer Street
When: Saturday and Sunday, 11 AM - 7 PM
What: Bust Magazine's 7th Annual holiday fair, with over 200 craft and food vendors. This year's event will feature a DIY lab where visitors can learn how to do things like make mozzarella cheese in the microwave. Food vendors include La Newyorkina and The Red Hook Lobster Pound. The entrance fee is $3.

2011_brooklyn_oenology1.jpg4) Whiskey, Pickles, and Jerky at Brooklyn Oenology
Where: 209 Wythe Avenue
When: Saturday and Sunday, 3 - 7 PM
What: This Williamsburg winery and tasting room is hosting three local pickle makers, three local whiskey producers, and one local beef jerky company this weekend. There will be tasting of all the artisanal goods and the bar will be offering pickleback drink specials; $5 for one, $13 for three.

Where: 211b West Broadway
When: Sunday, 4:30 - 5 PM
What: Maslow 6 wine store is hosting a special tasting with Chris Baggetta, the head sommelier at Eleven Madison Park. She'll be teaching the same blind tasting method used at the Court of Master Sommeliers. Tickets are $50.
