How about a tranquil little video interlude to end the day? The folks behind Dominique Ansel Bakery, a new sweet and savory spot that opened in Soho just last week, send over the below video of Mr. Ansel making his specialty Kouign Amann. The chef, who was the pastry chef at Daniel for six years, has sold out of these pastries (which apparently only he can make), every day since the opening, sometimes as early as noon.
It's a little like Sound Bites minus the rock 'n' roll and plus 20 sticks of butter.
