Back in July news broke that famed Midwestern chain Steak 'n' Shake would soon open its first ever location in New York City. And as an appeal to tourist and Midtown office workers, they chose the old Omido space right next to the Dave Letterman Show's Ed Sullivan Theater.
It's been fairly quiet on the Steak 'n' Shake front since the summer, but there's finally a new and very encouraging development: they're staffing up. Through an open call held all this week and ending Saturday, the burger chain's higher ups will hire the fry cooks, register jockeys, clean up crew, and whoever else they need. Which means an opening can't be all that far off. Midtown, please ready yourselves for some steakburgers and chocolate banana side-by-sides.
