Today's food-themed episode of CBS Sunday Morning featured a profile of Per Se's Thomas Keller that works as a nice, concise history of his rise through the restaurant world. It includes old photos from his days as a line cook, scenes from within his kitchens, and best of all, a shot of Keller plucking a warm egg from beneath a hen. He also addresses the high price of his two fine dining restaurants, noting, "It's a value of perception. We want to make sure that our guests that do come to our restaurant feel that the money that they spent was well worth it." The clip is below.
The episode also included a segment about how 90-year-old Coney Island Bialys and Bagels was recently saved by two of its former employees.
