Christos Valtzoglou, the owner of Greek restaurant Pylos on East 7th Street tells The Villager he's turning the old Heartbreak space into a small plates Greek spot. His Swiss-Germanic restaurant, many will remember, met its heartbreaking end last month on the same day it earned its Michelin star. The restaurant opened a year ago with a striking red exterior and a bare and cold dining room, but for the second go, acclaimed interior designer Tony Chi (Andaz, South Gate) is on board to oversee the renovations.
Chances are Valtzoglou will pick a more uplifting (and less foreboding) moniker this time around.
