First The Waverly Inn and now this. Keith McNally's Minetta Tavern, still one of the hardest restaurants to get an 8 PM resy at without a triple-A McNally designation, is now on democratic online reservations site OpenTable. It joins his other, more populist restaurants Schiller's Liquor Bar and Pulino's on the site, leaving behind Morandi, Balthazar, Pravda, and Pastis, which have yet to make the plunge.
Not only is the restaurant on the online resy program, it also has a friendly little note on its homepage, complete with OpenTable widget, encouraging diners to give them a ring. Of course this doesn't mean you're getting a prime time table. Almost all of the 7 - 9 PM reservations are held back, save some favorable times...on Thanksgiving. That said, those who like to plan ahead should note there's an open two top on 11/28 at 9:30 PM.
