Michelin isn't the only big red guide to reveal its rankings this week. Google-owned Zagat released their New York Guide today, revealing their new dining trends and new standout restaurants. The big winner this year, as it was last year, is Le Bernardin which earned a near perfect 29 score, won the top spot for best food, and, in a first, was deemed "most popular." Gramercy Tavern and Union Square Cafe have held the most popular spot for the last 15 years.
Meanwhile Ai Fiori was named best newcomer, Per Se got best service, and Asiate, best decor. Daniel also earned a 29 as did Brooklyn Fare, but the latter "failed to earn enough votes to be eligible for our Top Food list," according to Zagat.
