As part of Chinese Food Week, Eater asked a number of excellent non-Chinese restaurants to come up with a special Chinese dish as a tribute to the week, and a number of restaurants not only heeded the call but got really into it. Every day this week, we'll be highlighting a different Chinese Food Week special, starting today with Osteria Morini's chow fun Pappardelle with wok fried beef short rib and Chinese broccoli, toban djan chili. See chef Michael White, who jumped at the chance to play given he's spent so much time in Asia of late, make the dish above. It's $15 and offered at lunch.

There's no need to wait until a dish is featured to try it. See the full list of participating restaurants and their specials here.
