Is the SLA no longer taking community board recommendations into account when reviewing liquor license applications? A report found that although Community Board 3 rejected 27 out of 29 applicants in so called resolution areas for liquor licenses, 15 of the rejects went straight to the SLA, with 13 of those getting approved for a wine and beer license. The Board expects this to happen, but enjoys the deterrent that results from their rejection of an application. [The Local]
