Two Months After GM's Departure, Chef Leaves Tenpenny

In critic Sam Sifton's May review of the relatively new, fantastic-for-what-it-is hotel restaurant Tenpenny he wrote, "It is great to eat this, and to imagine yourself telling friends how you used to eat the chef Chris Cipollone’s food back when he was cooking in that grim hotel space in Midtown." Imagine no more. Two months after the restaurant's GM, Jeffrey Tascarella, left for the greener pastures of the forthcoming restaurant NoMad, Cipollone has made the not so surprising move to also jump ship.
