LES Purse Thief Hits Katz's, Clinton Street Baking Co.

The Times, the Post, and the Daily News report that a purse snatcher that likes to hit busy restaurants is on the loose on the Lower East Side. The same woman is suspected to have stolen purses from the backs of chairs four times in the last five months at Katz's Delicatessen on Ludlow and Houston Streets and Clinton Street Baking Company over on Clinton, and to help in their apprehension of the thief, police have released a video of her in action at Katz's. The police described her as a black woman who was between ages 40 and 50.

In the meantime, keep an eye on those purses, ladies, and don't sit at the table right by the door at Clinton Street. The video of the perp is below.
