M. Wells' Pop-Up Dinners; Double Wide in the East Village

EAST VILLAGE— EV Grieve writes that a new bar and restaurant called Double Wide Bar & Southern Kitchen is soft opening this weekend at 505 E. 12th St. between Avenue A and Avenue B. They'll serve Frito pies, sloppy joe sliders, chicken fried steak, and more. [EVG]
