Still Not Happening

The planned collaboration between the old Collective Hardware folks and Greenhouse was rejected for a second time by Community Board 2 this week. The new space was supposed to be in the club's basement and had already been rejected this past spring. The project was also having trouble getting the necessary permits from the Department of Buildings, forcing the Collective folks to take up residency at the old Canal Room space. It seems that Greenhouse's poor reputation doomed this application from the start. We wonder what gave the Board such a poor opinion of the club? [Grub Street]
