Francois Payard to Open Bakery in BPC Next Week

Battery Park City workers and residents are having a banner year. In late spring a Shake Shack opened in the Goldman Sachs building on West Street and Danny Meyer's Blue Smoke and North End Grill should open sometime this winter. Now there's another upmarket addition to the building.

French pastry master Francois Payard will open a second location of his Francois Payard Bakery (aka FPB) near the Shack next Friday. The bakery has the same look and feel as the original location over on West Houston Street, and they'll serve pastries and breakfast sandwiches in the morning, soups, salads, quiches, and sandwiches for lunch, and a variety of cakes and tartes throughout the day.
