1) Gowanus: A new location of Crop to Cup Coffee is opening tomorrow on Third Ave. in Gowanus. The cafe has an espresso and pour-over bar and will sell baked goods from neighbors Four & Twenty Blackbirds. When the weather turns nice, they'll open up a huge garden in the back. They're offering half priced drinks on opening day. Status: Not open. Opening Friday at 7:30 AM. 541A Third Ave. no phone yet.
2) Hell's Kitchen: Zagat reports that a new Vietnamese restaurant, ChaPa's Noodle & Grill, is opening in the old Bombay Eats space in Hell's Kitchen. A call to the restaurant confirms that they are opening for dinner service tonight at 6PM. Status: Certified Open. 314 W. 52nd St. (212) 956-9300.
3) Lower East Side: Bowery Boogie learns that Pause Cafe is now open on stretch of Clinton St. that already has a few other coffee shops. They're serve serving drinks, sandwiches, salads and light fare. Status: Certified Open. 3 Clinton St., no phone yet.
4) The Meatpacking District: Oliver Strand gets a tour of new premium espresso bar Kava Cafe on Washington St. The small, chic space was designed by Roman & Williams and the bar is stocked with Stumptown coffee and next generation Strada machines.
