New Rooftop Restaurant, Up, Takes Former BED Space

The One Group, the owners of MePa's STK and the Gansevoort Park's new Asellina just signed a lease for the old BED club and lounge space on West 27th Street and plan to open a new rooftop restaurant there by May. The new restaurant is tentatively called Up. They have yet to choose a chef or reveal a solid theme, but the Chelsea spot will boast a "landscaped, traditional English garden."

The 5,000 square foot restaurant will have 360 degree views of the city. And no beds.
