Marry the Ketchup, The Beagle, Momo Milk to Face CB3

New, 2 comments

The new Community Board 3 agenda is out with the latest list of hopeful restaurateurs aiming to lubricate their new projects with that coveted booze. Notorious yet very closed Superdive is on there for a renewal with complaint history—even though the 'Dive tells us they didn't file renewal paperwork—the new Snack Dragon on Orchard is on there, as is a place called Taco Joint on St. Mark's, a place called Pastabar on Ave. C., and Heartbreak Cafe on 2nd Street (such names!). A restaurant called The Beagle hopes to take the old Orologio space, 56 Burger Fondue is headed to Lan on 3rd Ave., and most interesting, Momofuku Milk Bar is applying for a license at 251 East 13th Street, across the street. The folks at Momo Milk are considering taking up the space, for an expansion or to move the operation, but have yet to sign a lease or nail anything down. (More on this if they do.)

Oh, and something called Marry the Ketchup is applying for the old Permanent Brunch (Steak Shoppe) space.
