For decades, the famed Midtown eatery Carnegie Deli has rented space from its neighbor Woodward Affiliates to maintain an extra 200 seat dining room and a second exit. As they were working to renegotiate their arrangement, the Woodward folks allegedly balked, meaning the restaurant may be unable to get their public assembly permit from the city. According to a lawsuit, the situation "may, and likely will, result in the closure of the Carnegie Deli." [NYP]
