2011_01_hangover.jpgScientists at Thomas Jefferson University in the Sixth Borough believe they have confirmed that caffeine is the most effective hangover cure. The researchers plied rats with little rat sized portions of booze and blocked various pathways in the animals brains. They then determined that caffeine can block the release of certain chemicals in the brain that are thought to cause headaches in humans and were also present in the drunk rats, leading them to identify caffeine as effective in the fight against hangovers. Hooray for science! [Philly.com]
