For those still dying to try the foodie swarmed Long Island City diner M. Wells at anytime other during their lunch hour (or during weekend brunch), tough luck. Though the duo behind the restaurant, chef Hugue Dufour and his wife Sarah Obraitis hoped to finally launch dinner service this past weekend—six months after they officially opened and three weeks after getting their liquor license—they instead sent out an email to friends and followers offering their apologies:
Chef Hugue Dufour and I (Sarah) have made the difficult but prudent decision to delay our opening for dinner service. We were supposed to begin this weekend. At the risk of having to close during the day, we instead are focusing on making this 1950s building work a little better to accommodate all of our friends and followers - all day long. But don't forget—good things come to those who wait.
