2010_09_despresso.jpgA new Bryant Park branch of Lower East Side coffee shop D'Espresso was built to look like its sitting on its side. The floor is covered with tiles that look like bookshelves (a reference to the nearby public library), the walls are lined with oak flooring, and the lights jut out horizontally. D'Espresso hopes to open 10 more locations in Manhattan. [NYT]
