The Robs reports that Michael White's new Soho trattoria, Osteria Morini will open to the public on Monday, October, 4. And boy is there a lot—and a lot of heavy stuff—on that menu!
It's broken up into sliced meats, pastas, fried goodies, traditional ragus, fancy spreads, traditional entrees—veal, beef, calves liver, lamb chop, and so on—antipasti, sides, and simply grilled meat like pork spare ribs, sausages, Black Angus strip steak, and veal chops. Prices range from $10 or $11 for a spread or some fried mortadella to $18 for bolognese lasagna, $24 for a fried salt cod filet, and $36 for a veal chop. Needless to say, it's a far cry pricewise from the high end seafood served at Marea and the prix fixes at Convivio and Alto. Stay tuned for more coverage as the debut approaches and click through to see the full menu reveal.
