Sotheby's Goes Retail

New, 1 comment

Jay McInerney writes that Sotheby's, the high end Manhattan auction house, is going into retail. It just opened a wine shop on the ground floor of its New York headquarters, selling some of the upmarket uber-expensive wine that is often held at auction along with "genuine everyday house wines" in the $20 - 30 range.
