Barosa, Ultimate Burgers & Dogs, Pan Latin Cafe Say Farewell

1) Boerum Hill: Ultimate Burgers & Dogs, a casual spot on DeGraw, has closed. They went down just mere months after management removed the old timey deli and grocery sign. Perhaps the disgruntled neighborhood nostalgists put a curse on them. [ShutterWire]

2) East Village: Novello Cafe shuttered on Avenue A shortly after it opened. [EVG]

3) Williamsburg: Barosa, a two year-old red sauce Italian joint that opened across the street just a month before Motorino has gone out of business. It was hard going for the place since superior pizza sat right across the street and more established red sauce joints pepper the neighborhood. [ShutterWire]

4) Battery Park City: Six and a half year old neighborhood staple Pan Latine Cafe closed in Battery Park City this week. The restaurant was no longer financially viable. Click through to read about how the neighborhood reached out to say goodbye. [DNA Info]
