Now for some not so surprising news for anyone who has been to or heard about the preternaturally busy Lower East Side restaurant Meatball Shop: They're expanding. Back in April, during a Gatekeepers interview, partner Michael Chernow said they need to "get this thing like a well-oiled machine, rock solid steel, before we consider doing anything bigger." Perhaps they have, because a recent listing by Winick Realty reveals that the owners are looking to 1,000 to 2,000 square feet spaces in the West Village, Union Square, Greenwich Village, and the Meatpacking District. Imagine if they get a MePa space and end up competing with Artichoke, another late night line-maker that expanded westward. See the full flyer below.
