A tipster reports and chef Michael Psilakis confirms that Ryan Skeen, coming off a consulting gig at Sweetiepie and a an exec chef gig at 5 & Diamond, has taken a job as the chef at Psilakis' new fall opening Fish Tag. The breezy Mediterranean seafood restaurant with a 30 seat raw bar is opening this October in the former Gus & Gabriel space (which was once Kefi and Onera), but not many other details are out just yet.
Psilakis tells that us he and Skeen just started working together a couple of weeks ago and are in the recipe testing phase right now. Skeen is working there full time for the foreseeable future, not as a consultant or temporary opening chef.
