A couple of different West Village residents have written in to note that the Waverly Inn, the once uber-exclusive celeb haunt is now serving weekend brunch. It's a service loathed by restaurant workers yet beloved by the New York masses, and it's hard not to see the launch as a concession on the Wave's part. Brunch service debuted last weekend and will be served every Saturday and Sunday from 11 - 3. Word is there's even a public resyline planned—917-828-1154—but no one's answering at the moment.
For what it's worth, a longtime regular tells Eater that the new chef Eric Korsh is "terrific."
Update: Now the resyline is working.
