Reps for MPD, the new restaurant from the Koch Brothers and Ginza Group in the former Los Dados space, reached out to clarify a few things about the soon to open venture. First, don't expect MPD to be anything like the Koch's Day and Night parties that they used to throw at Merkato 55. Instead MPD will embody "a different mentality in a setting and environment completely different from those champagne fueled parties- but still carrying the vibe and energy the Koch twins bring to their ventures." Sounds delicious. The rep also wants you to know that just because the restaurant looked like it was almost ready, it is "not by any means finished", and will be open to the public on October 4th for dinner and late nights only. That's bad news for the party people who were hoping to bust out their pastel shirts and over-sized sunglasses and spray Champagne on strangers.
