2010_08_connecticut.jpgConnecticut governor Jodi Rell's recent attempt to lure New York's hedge funds to her state with promises of favorable tax rates and classy nightlife has yet to bear fruit, especially since Connecticut doesn't have much nightlife. State laws force bars to close at midnight, and night owls often head into Port Chester, NY to keep the night alive, a town that is usually not compared to the MePa. Financiers are often blamed for ruining New York's nightlife, but at least they are our financiers and not some bunch of Connecticut carpetbaggers. [NYP]
