Can Millesime succeed where Country slowly and painfully failed? The multipurpose French operation opens in the Carleton Hotel's gorgeous bi-level space tonight and calls itself "a nostalgic portal to an era when automobiles had curves, women were dames, men wore hats, and a deal was sealed with a handshake." Fair enough.
The lower level salon and bar—which serves $15 cocktails alongside bar snacks and light fare—is what's opening now, soon to be followed by the seafood brasserie above and an adjacent reservations only cocktail bar called Bar Millesime. See their website for more images.
