Here's an interesting piece of plywood: Mono + Mono, a new music-centric Korean Fried chicken spot going into the old (huge) Jeollado space on East 4th Street between 1st and 2nd. According to its website the restaurant will serve "The best Korean fried chicken seasoned with over 30,000 vinyl jazz music spun by DJ" along with "beer, wine, soju, and cocktail." But they aren't just launching one branch. Apparently there's one scheduled to open in Midtown—Holy land of Korean fried chicken—on 5th Ave. and 32nd Street. That, of course, is on the same block as power players Bon Chon and Kyochon.
