1) Midtown East: Japanese restaurant Naniwa has closed after 30 years in business. [ENY]

2) East Village: EV Grieve reports that the 1st Ave location of Pinisi Bakery has closed. The East 4th St operation soldiers on. [EVG]

3) Midtown West: ZagatBuzz notices that Giuliano (fka Roberto Passon) is papered up and not available for reservations on OpenTable. Calls to the restaurant have gone unanswered. [ZagatBuzz]

4) Upper East Side: Unable to reach an agreement with their landlord, Follow Me Caffe at 145 East 62nd St has closed. However, the owners (also of Patty & Bun) are hoping to reopen in the area. [ENY]

5) East Village: EV Grieve snaps a shot of the papered windows at Ama Ya Thai restaurant. The phone is disconnected. [EVG]

6) West Village: Grub Street brings word that La Focaccia has quietly shuttered on Bank and 4th Street. [GS]

7) Soho: Per a tipster, The Yoghurt Place II, a destination for Greek yogurt, has closed. [ENY]

Temporary Shutter:
Midtown West: Midtown Lunch follows up on the closing of 8th Avenue's Spice Fusion and worries they may be closed indefinitely. However, a call to the restaurant reveals that they're reopening "hopefully in two weeks" under new management. The restaurant will remain the same. [ML]
