2010_08_basilToday, the WSJ has a little piece on Basil, a kosher cafe and wine bar in Crown Heights that, remarkably, has a mixed staff of religious Jews, African-Americans and Caribbean-Americans. It should be remarkable that such a staff is remarkable, but in a neighborhood that is still severely segregated, it actually is. [WSJ]
